Decipher Games Rule InQuest Gamer Fan Awards!

Back in January, several Decipher games were nominated for 2002 InQuest Gamer Fan Awards. You, the fans, voted for the best games of 2002, and the results are in – hot off the press in the latest issue of InQuest Gamer (July 2003, #99). We're proud to announce that Decipher games carried off two of the awards by a landslide! Or, in InQuest's words, "Lord of the Rings games destroyed Best CCG Expansion and Best RPG categories."

Best CCG Expansion: The Two Towers
One year ago – a scant three months following the release of The Fellowship of the Ring premiere set – The Lord of the Rings™ TCG was voted Best CCG in the InQuest Gamer 2001 Awards. How do you follow up a victory like that? With the Best CCG Expansion of 2002 award, of course. This category saw

"...total domination by The Two Towers for Lord of the Rings; it finished with almost as many votes as the next three contenders combined."

Best RPG: The Lord of the Rings
But CCGs aren't the only categories where Decipher's Lord of the Rings games shine.

"There was no contest for this contest. While Buffy the Vampire Slayer's gorgeous production values and female lead grabbed fans' attention, nothing could stand before the Lord of the Rings juggernaut that laid waste to all challengers by soaking up half of all the votes for best RPG."

Our thanks go to all whose votes made our games "The Best" in 2002!
