Denethor Debuts at San Diego Comic-Con!
First Look at a Return of the King™ Card
 This
weekend at Comic-Con International in San Diego, lucky convention-goers
who get a seat at New Line Cinema's Saturday presentation will not only
be treated to Andy Serkis and Richard Taylor discussing what it took to
bring Gollum to life and a preview of The Two Towers DVD including
exclusive footage from The Return of the King. They'll also be the
very first to get their hands on a Lord of the Rings TCG card from
The Return of the King.
The alternate-image preview version of Denethor,
Wizened Steward, scheduled to appear in The Return of the King
expansion set November 5th, will be distributed to attendees at the end
of the New Line Cinema presentation, which takes place from 2:00-3:30 pm
Saturday, July 19, in Ballroom 20. If last year's lines for New Line's The
Two Towers presentation are any indication, the 4500-seat ballroom will
fill up fast! If you don't manage to get a seat, however, you may still
be able to get a Denethor card during the remainder of the convention by
asking at the Decipher booth. (Limit one per person, while supplies last.)
If you're not attending Comic-Con, you'll also be able to get a copy of
the preview card at Gen Con/ DecipherCon (Indianapolis), Dragon*Con (Atlanta),
or Spiel Essen (Germany). Just pay a visit to the Decipher booth or one
of our convention partners – ask at our booth who the partner of the
day is. (Again, limit one per person while supplies last at each convention.)
The Denethor preview is also slated to appear in German, French, Spanish,
Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, and Swedish versions in a variety of promotions
in the respective countries. In addition, plans call for limited quantities
of the English-language card to be distributed in various international
markets. Watch for announcements detailing specific distribution methods
for both international and English-language versions outside the United
States.
