Star Trek CCG Tenth Anniversary Contest #3:
The Contest Contest
April 30, 2004 CONTEST IS CLOSED
Think of this as sort of a meta-contest a contest about contests.
Decipher's been running Star Trek CCG-related contests for a long
time; the first one I personally remember is a Q-Continuum contest run by
Jason "Q" Winter of the "guess the missing text on this card"
type. Actually, he ran several of them for QC, but the one I remember so
well had as its subject a Romulan Taris. And the reason I remember
it is not so much its subject but the fact that I won first place, which
was, I think, a display box of boosters.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much (or any) documentation about
those early contests. So this contest will, of necessity, focus on somewhat
later contests. But that doesn't mean it'll necessarily be easy to find
the answers! If you can, you could win some Tenth Anniversary Collection
foils!
As before, we will first randomly select awinner and two runners-up
from all completely correct entries. The first three places will receive
the following prizes:
1st place: A complete set of 18 Tenth Anniversary Collection foils
plus a commemorative poster. 2nd place: 6 Tenth Anniversary Collection foils (3 ship/commander
pairs, random selection) plus a commemorative poster. 3rd place: 4 Tenth Anniversary Collection foils (2 ship/commander
pairs, random selection) plus a commemorative poster.
Fourth through tenth places will be randomly selected from ALL complete
(you must answer all five questions) and valid entries received, regardless
of the correctness of the answers, to receive the following prizes:
4th-6th place: 2 Tenth Anniversary Collection foils (1 ship/commander
pair, random selection) plus a commemorative poster.
7th -10th place: One Tenth Anniversary Collection foil (random selection)
plus a commemorative poster.
You have until Friday, April 30th at 5pm Eastern Time to submit your winning
entry. Good luck!
1. First, select your answer to each question by clicking the radio
button or selecting from the menu, or fill in the blank.

Rules of Acquisition, as far as can be told with its "expansion
index page" missing, sported at least two contests. One involved
creating your own "Rules of Acquisition", the other was a Ferengi
deck design contest. Which STCCG World Champion or Runner-Up was a winner
in that contest? (Note: all World Champions are listed first, then all
Runners-up. They could have won the contest before or after their World
Championship showing.)
3.
How many contests were run for the Voyager expansion?
A.
0
B.
1
C.
2
D.
3
4.
From which country was the first place winner of the STCCG Second
Edition contest (including the base set and all expansions) which received
the highest percentage of entries with all answers correct?
5.
Not all contests have been tied to a specific upcoming expansion;
from time to time we have run miscellaneous small-scale contests mostly
for fun and diversion (but usually with a winner receiving a few booster
packs). From which state or province (enter the two-letter postal abbreviation)
was the winner of a contest that involved the mythical Orb of Confusion?
