It's DecipherCon 2004 at Gen Con Indy!
For the second year in a row, Decipher will be holding our annual DecipherCon
event during GenCon Indy, at the Indianapolis Convention Center, August
19–22, 2004.
We're building a great schedule of events for DecipherCon 2004, but we
wanted to get some basic details out on the admission and badge situation.
DecipherCon is open to all attendees of GenCon Indy 2004. So everyone
attending will need to purchase their GenCon passes. These may be purchased
in advance through GenCon's pre-registration website or in person the day
of the show. Further, everyone wanting to participate in Decipher tournament
events may go ahead and purchase their event tickets through the normal
GenCon event ticket registration. There will not be a DecipherCon badge
sold through GenCon for either show admission or for tournament entry.
You will have the opportunity to purchase a DecipherCon 2004 Convention
Kit either online at shop.decipher.com or at the Decipher booth during GenCon
Indy 2004. This kit is not mandatory to take part in great DecipherCon 2004
events, but it is a value-packed product that you'll want to get your hands
on! Here's what's in the kit:
- DecipherCon 2004 t-shirt featuring art from Decipher's upcoming The
Mumon Rift Wars TCG!
- DecipherCon 2004 badge and lanyard – The DecipherCon 2004 badge
gets you 10% off in the Decipher store, preferred seating in our WARS
TCG presentation, and the chance to win great prizes if you're caught
wearing it at GenCon Indy!
- DecipherCon 2004 Program and Schedule of Events – Information you'll
need to know what is happening, where, and when!
- DecipherCon 2004 "Promos You May Have Missed" Package – A generous
array of promos from 2003 and 2004 that you might have not gotten your
hands on! (More details coming soon!)
- DecipherCon 2004 Oversized card for MegaMan Trading Card Game.
- DecipherCon 2004 STAR TREK CCG Second Edition "Worf" exclusive promo!
The DecipherCon 2004 Convention Kit retails for only $29.95 (plus shipping
for online orders). These will be on sale as complete kits in the Decipher
store during the show, while supplies last. Online sales will begin soon
but the kit is not guaranteed to arrive before August 19, 2004 so if you're
planning on attending DecipherCon 2004, please keep that in mind!
At DecipherCon 2004, we'll have dozens of tournaments including the World
Championship events for The Lord of the Rings TCG, STAR TREK CCG
Second Edition, and .hack//ENEMY TCG! You can also learn to play all of
Decipher's great games including our newest release, MegaMan TCG, and get
a sneak peek demo for The Mumon Rift Wars TCG. And if you have a DecipherCon
2004 badge or a WARS
TCG preview postcard, you can attend the special preview event for The
Mumon Rift Wars TCG on Saturday, August 21st at 11:00am.
Plus, the Decipher booth will be a hub of Decipher activity and the DecipherCon
2004 headquarters for the weekend! Designers from the Decipher Games Studio
will be on hand doing demos of the games they created, as well as "gunslinging"
matches for great prizes! Learn to play The Lord of the Rings TCG
Online version, where the world is your opponent! Watch Decipher artist
Kieran Yanner as he creates card images for WARS TCG live in the Decipher
booth! There's going to be a lot happening at DecipherCon 2004! Don't miss
it!
