(Norfolk, VAJuly 8, 2004) The Lord of The Rings Fan
Club Official Movie Magazine from Decipher has been awarded the 2004 Apex
Award for Publication Excellence in the category of Consumer Magazine and

"We're extremely proud of this achievement and the recognition for the
magazine," said Warren Holland, Decipher's Chairman and CEO. "The fans frequently
tell us that our publication mirrors the beauty of the films. [Director]
Peter Jackson set the bar very high, and we've worked hard to match those
standards in the magazine. It's exciting for our creative team to be honored
in this way."
Apex Awards are in their 16th year of judging publications in 11 editorial
and design categories. More than 5,500 publications entered the overall
competition. Criteria include excellence in graphic design, editorial content,
and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence.
The Lord of the Rings Fan Club Official Movie Magazine started
publication with its February/March 2002 edition. The magazine covers the
epic trilogy from behind-the-scenes news and cast interviews to the latest
