Where's Tom Bombadil's Hat? In The Weta Collection
Many players and collectors by now have the first four Weta "book
cards," introduced in the Countdown Collection promotion and as foils
in the Reflections set. Seeing
the first of these special cards, which will feature characters and items
that didn't appear in Peter Jackson's film trilogy, has just whetted fan
appetites for more. And the next five will start to appear on Friday, as
the Weta Collection summer retail promotion begins.
During the five-week promotion, you will be able to receive these cards
exclusively through your local participating retailer. A new card will be
available each week, and you can receive your copy with a $10 (or €10)
purchase of The Lord of the Rings TCG product.
The five cards in this promotion are Anárion (second son of Elendil
and younger brother of Isildur), Ghân-buri-Ghân (headman of
the Woses of Drúadan Forest who aided the Rohirrim in their ride
to the Battle of Pelennor Fields), Erkenbrand (master of Westfold), and
an artifact and possession related to two of the earlier book cards, Tom
Bombadil's Hat and Radagast's Staff. Like the four Reflections book cards,
these will have the Weta "bug" logo. We'll get them added to the
online card list as soon as possible, but we know you're going to want to
see what you'll be getting over the next few weeks, so here they are. Look
for another article soon about the "making" of the book cards!
