Fractured Statistics

Now that we've begun posting Fractured Time cards (one a day Monday through Friday – sorry, no weekend postings this time), I expect to see the speculative card lists really take off. So I thought I'd give you a few "statistics" on the makeup of the set to help your speculations along – or confuse them, as the case may be. ;-)

First off, what card types can you expect and how many of each? As one of the designers mentioned, about half of a set like this will usually be "nouns" (personnel and ships), and that's almost exactly what we find. To be more specific, I count 19 nouns and 20 verbs, and a mission (is that a noun or a verb??):

• 3 Dilemmas
• 15 Events
• 2 Interrupts
• 1 Mission
• 16 Personnel
• 3 Ships

Three of the personnel have red Past [Pa] icons; two (plus one ship) have blue Future [Fut] icons, and nine personnel plus one ship have the yellow Alternate Universe [AU] icon. Thirteen of the personnel are male, two female, and one... well, it sure isn't obvious from the image, but the game text seems to indicate this one is also male. I'll take their word for it. These personnel seem to be an overall dubious bunch, possessing amongst themselves a total of 11 Treachery but only 6 Honor, as well as 11 Leadership but only 4 Diplomacy. There are eight species represented (if you count "Alien" as a single species); five humans (or at least part human), three Klingons, and assorted others.

Affiliations? Well, seven affiliations (plus Non-aligned) are represented among the personnel and ships. I'm not going to give you a more detailed breakdown just yet, except to say there are two Klingon-affiliation personnel – one of which was today's new card: Worf, Regent of the Alliance.
