Decipher WARS Tour!
This November, Decipher staff takes to the road once again to spread the
word, pass out free stuff, and play the games with you in your hometown!
Decipher is continuing its tradition of grass-roots support with this year's
Decipher WARS Tour!
Over the past couple of years, you've had the opportunity to meet and
play the Decipher Black Riders in the 2003 "Black Rider Tour" and gone head-to-head
with the Decipher "Hackers" in two separate "Level UP! Tours" in 2004. This
time, Decipher Sales, Marketing, and Game Studio staffers will be traveling
the U.S., Canada, and Europe promoting Decipher's two most anticipated releases
ever: WARS TCG "Incursion" and The Lord of the Rings TCG "Shadows"!
WARS TCG "Incursion" kicks off the return of Decipher's popular SWCCG
mechanics in a highly stylized, sci-fi look at mankind's challenges 400
years in the future.
The Lord of the Rings TCG "Shadows" begins the new "War of the
Ring" block of play with changes to the site path, more Ring-bearers, nastier
minions, and more "real time" gameplay decisions!
The Decipher WARS Tour will swing into selected major cities with the
following agenda:
- Do a huge WARS TCG booster draft tournament the first night
- Do a huge The Lord of the Rings TCG sealed deck tournament the
second night
- Lick our wounds and head off to the next city for two more days of gameplay!
The tour is designed with late day tournaments to allow players with work
or school commitments to participate! There will be fewer stops on this
tour than in previous ones, so these huge events will draw players from
miles around! Every attendee at the tournament will receive a special game-related
promo made exclusively for this tour! Winners will receive bigger prizes
than on previous tours, and as always, the Decipher "warriors" will have
a bounty on their head! Beat them in a tournament round and you take a cut
of the prizes!
The exact itinerary for the Decipher WARS Tour is being designed and an
