Fractured Time Contest #3:
Fractured Time-Travel Titles

September 24, 2004 – CONTEST IS CLOSED

Remember all those message board polls about your favorite "AU" episodes? Some of them were specifically about time travel-related episodes. So, since the set is called Fractured Time, I decided to "fracture" some of those episode titles into a word search puzzle with a hidden "time-related" message. Solve the puzzle and find the message, and you could win!

We will randomly select a winner and two runners-up from all correct entries. First place will receive one complete 40-card set of Fractured Time. Each runner-up will receive 20 Fractured Time cards (random selection).

You have until Friday, September 24th at 5pm Eastern Time to submit your winning entry. Good luck!

Instructions

There are 29 words hidden in this puzzle. Clues to those words are listed below the puzzle. (The clues are numbered so that one clue can refer to another one.) The letters of each word will be found in a straight line, which may run horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, and either backwards or forwards. You can print this page for a worksheet. Once you identify and cross out all the letters of each word, the remaining unused letters spell out a quote about time taken from a Star Trek movie.

Clues

The number of letters in the word is at the end of each clue in parentheses. Each word in the puzzle is a single word contained in the title of a time travel-related Star Trek episode (from any of the series) or movie. A clue that refers to a number is referencing the puzzle word for that clue number. For example, clue #8 means "[This word] belongs to [the word alluded to in clue #29]".
