Shadows Contest #2:
"This, my friend, is a pint!"
October 14, 2004 – CONTEST IS CLOSED
Below is a Shire event card from Shadows, with just one small item missing:
the card title. Solve the clues and write the answers in the blanks provided,
one letter per blank (The blanks do not include spaces or punctuation.)
Then take the letters in the shaded blanks and unscramble them to spell
the title of the event card.
We will randomly select a winner and two runners-up from all correct entries
to receive the following prizes:
- First place: 18 booster packs and two starter decks of Shadows
(random selection)
- Second place: 18 Shadows booster packs
- Third place: two Shadows starter decks (random selection)
You have until Thursday, October 14th at 5pm Eastern Time to submit your

1. First, solve the eight clues and fill in the answers in the
blanks below. You may want to print this page out as a worksheet because
the blanks can't be filled in on-screen. Answers may be one or more words
long and may or may not include punctuation or accented characters, but
no spaces or punctuation are included here (each line represents
a letter). Ignore any accent marks when transferring letters to the final
answer.
- Hobbit alias.
- #4 has an ability used in this game turn phase.
- This minion's name was misspelled in its first (Fellowship of the
Ring) incarnation and received errata to make it match the later versions.
His name is related to the number of Rings of Power forged for the dwarf-lords.
