WARS TCG Special Presentation

Remember flow of the Force? Destiny draws? Attrition? It's all returning in Decipher's first proprietary trading card game, WARS TCG, launching in October. Bring your WARS TCG preview postcard or your DecipherCon badge for admission to a special sneak peek presentation of WARS TCG on Saturday, August 21, 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, in the White River Ballroom. For full details of the presentation, plus other Wars TCG activities, see WARS TCG at Gen Con Indy 2004.

The Decipher Convention Store

Looking for the perfect souvenir of both your favorite card game and your summer convention fun? Look no further than the Decipher booth. First, you'll receive that week's scheduled promo card from the .hack//ENEMY: The Four Queens, MegaMan TCG Cyber-Incentive, or The Lord of the Rings TCG Weta Collection promotion when you make a $10 purchase of .hack//ENEMY TCG, MegaMan TCG, or The Lord of the Rings TCG respectively.

Second, if you missed out on The Lord of the Rings TCG Countdown Collection, now's your chance to get the complete 18-card set plus the collector's portfolio and the four premiums (Tom Bombadil, Goldberry, Radagast, and Glorfindel) when you purchase $180 ofThe Lord of the Rings TCG products. (Sorry, individual cards and portfolios are not available.)

Finally, with each $20 purchase at the Decipher booth, you can choose one of three brand-new collectible oversized cards to add to your collection: a Tengwar version of Aragorn, Elessar Telcontar (a preview of the normal-sized card coming in The Return of the King Anthology in September); Helba 2.0 (coming in .hack//ENEMY TCG: Isolation in August); and MegaMan, Cyber Hero (from the June 30 release of MegaMan TCG: Power Up!). Limited quantities of our 2002-2003 oversized cards will also be available. And your oversized cards are in addition to any other promo cards you may receive with your purchases! For example, a purchase of $10 of .hack//ENEMY plus $10 of MegaMan TCG will qualify you for a Four Queens card, a MegaMan Cyber-Incentive card, and your choice of any one oversized card!

There'll be plenty to choose from for your qualifying purchases, too, including .hack//ENEMY TCG: Isolation, The Lord of the Rings TCG: Mount Doom, and MegaMan TCG: Power Up!, plus a great assortment of Lord of the Rings and Star Trek Fan Club merchandise.

Learn to Play

Interested in learning to play one of Decipher's popular trading card games? We'll have non-stop demos on the Decipher booth throughout the weekend. Learn to play The Lord of the Rings TCG, Star Trek CCG Second Edition, .hack//ENEMY TCG, and the latest addition to the Decipher TCG lineup: MegaMan TCG, and get a free booster pack! You can try out The Lord of the Rings Online TCG at the Worlds Apart tables. And this'll be your big chance to get a sneak peek demo for WARS TCG!

Challenge Matches

Are you ready to take on the Game Studio? Six of Decipher's designers and developers will be on hand for a little "gunslinging" at DecipherCon. Bring your best deck and challenge one of them to a Lord of the Rings TCG, Star Trek CCG, .hack//ENEMY TCG, or MegaMan TCG match – anyone who can beat them will win booster packs and/or promo cards! All challenge matches will take place on the Decipher booth.

  • the World Championship, a Premier Series Invitational, a World Cup Qualifier team tournament, and Arwen and Junior championships for The Lord of the Rings TCG;
  • the first World Championship, a premier Series Qualifier, team tournament, and booster drafts for .hack//ENEMY TCG;
  • the World Championship, First Edition championship, Tenth Anniversary (1E/2E), Highlander, and team events for Star Trek CCG;

And more...

  • WARS TCG Artist Search: Are you an artist who would like to play a part in bringing a new story and TCG to life? Ed Gartin, Artist Project Manager for Decipher's forthcoming new proprietary game, WARS TCG, will be reviewing portfolios at the Decipher booth on Friday, August 20, and Saturday, August 21, from 4:00-6:00 pm.
  • WARS TCG Design-a-Card Seminar: Join game designer Tom Lischke and artist Kieran Yanner, Saturday, August 21, 2:00-4:00 PM, for a chance to design a card that will be used in a future WARS TCG expansion. Also, one lucky participant will be randomly selected and their image will be used on the card!
  • Booster Draft on the Booth: Can't get enough Lord of the Rings TCG? We'll be running Reflections booster drafts on the booth. There's a maximum of 8 players per tournament, so sign up early! Entry fee is $15.00 for 3 Reflections packs. Players must bring any one Ring-bearer and any one The One Ring plus Adventure Path sites 1-9, no block restrictions, all sites allowed. No other outside cards allowed.
  • Meet the Hackers: And just in case the .hack//ENEMY Level Up! tours didn't bring one of them to your hometown, you'll even have the chance to meet some of Decipher's very own "Hackers" – Dan Bojanowski, Kevin Reitzel, Kyle Heuer, Trevor McGregor, Andy Lupp, Scott Gaeta, Mark Tuttle, Tim Ellington, Mike Girard, Chuck Kallenbach, Mike Reynolds, and Geoff Snider!

See you in Indy!
