Decipher Is Fierce at Le Monde du Jeu:

Le Monde du Jeu is undoubtedly the largest gaming convention in France
and has been drawing more than 10,000 visitors for years now. The con floor
offers attendees a wide variety of gaming delight from TCGs and RPGs to
video games, board games, figures and figurines, network gaming, and comics,
as well as an opportunity to meet some of the specialised press first-hand.
Decipher wouldn't miss out on the fun of course so expect to see us there
having the time of our lives as we demo The Lord of the Rings TCG
and RPG. Stop by if you want a quick and easy introduction to any of our
games! You can also get your rules questions answered, and find out about
soon-to-be released games and expansions.
Forth Eorlingas! – As most French The Lord of the Rings Product
Champions will be helping out at the Decipher booth we'll also be able to
provide you with information on local and regional events, gaming nights,
and tournaments.
Decipher will be sharing a booth with Hexagonal, Decipher's distributor
in France who will be able to give you all the information you need on French
retailers near you. Hexagonal is also the proud host of the 2002 French
National The Lord of the Rings TCG Championship to be held at Le
Monde du Jeu.
The French National will be a 2 Day event: Day 1 is open to everyone,
regardless of nationality. This event is also a Premier
Series Qualifier. The top 6 French players advance to Day 2 where they'll
battle it out for the title and glory of 2002 The Lord of the Rings
TCG French Champion.
Expect some high level competition at this event as the majority of Team
France: Benoit Lemaire and Gregory Denis (2002 European Continental
Runner-up) have already confirmed their attendance. To make it just that
bit more interesting Decipher will be putting a bounty of three The Lord
of the Rings TCG boosters on the heads of each member of Team France.
Beat them in a constructed game and the boosters are yours!
The French Championship isn't the only tournament Hexagonal will be hosting
though. Check out the tournament schedule below! Hexagonal has gathered
a host of sponsors (Hexagonal, D20-magazine, Decipher, Copernicus, HarperCollins,
Delcourt, Fenryll, PrinceAugust.) to ensure a very attractive prize support
package for every single event.
