On
the First Day of Printing,
Decipher gave to me...
Do you remember your first day of school? The first
time you saw a rainbow? Your first bicycle ride? The
first time you ate a double-stuff Oreo cookie?
Firsts always carry something special with them. Whether
it is sublime like a first passionate kiss or mundane
like the first time you tied your shoe yourself, the
initial occurrence of a phenomenon remains exceptional
in one way or another.
Why should trading card games be any different?
When the Jedi Knights Trading Card Game is launched
on April 25, approximately 20 percent of the print run
will be marked as "First Day of Printing." This will
help collectors and players identify the very first
Jedi Knights cards ever printed for the release of the
game. The cards are the same as their regular counterparts:
the images are identical, and there is no difference
in the gameplay. But First Day of Printing cards sport
a special stamp that makes them stand out from the rest.
That stamp is smaller than a dime, located on the right-hand
side of the card, and looks like this:
A
special sticker identifies each First Day of Printing
expansion pack, starter deck and display box (under
the shrink wrap). Gold and silver foil cards will
be found in some of the First Day of Printing packs,
but they will not bear the special stamp, and will replace
a common or uncommon card, instead of replacing the
rare card as they do in regular expansion packs.
First Day of Printing cards will be available together
with regular Jedi Knights cards on April 25. The Manufacturer's
Suggested Retail Price is $4.95 for First Day expansion
packs, and $17.95 for First Day starter decks.
Remember the first time you opened a Jedi Knights pack?
