Strategy

The Tarkin deck is simply interested in shooting anything it can. You may not always hit, (though 2 shots with an E-web will help) but you will certainly have enough force remaining to win the battle itself. In general, the weapons in this deck help make the troopers very effective support for your Imperial leaders. The Troopers are quite expendable since Tarkin can play them again from the discard pile. You also don't have to worry about holding back on a few Troopers for the next planet, since both Tarkin and Tagge can play them from the Theme pile.

The shipboard weapons will help you eliminate any opposition at the system, making sure your Star Destroyers give you the bonus from being unopposed. It's best to attack with the medium-power Leaders first and throw in a few Troopers for support if you need them.

Similar to the Han deck, save Tarkin for one big strike when you've knocked down their support ability. If you happen to need to take out a specific character, Imperial Precision will help that trooper get one good shot when it matters most. It's also a good way to turn the tables and knock out a large character who tries to attack your armed Troop. Always remember to take a shot when you can, even if it seems impossible to hit – at the least, you get destiny draws that keep cards flowing into your hand.
