8:40 - Pilot Overlord arrives at Corellian refueling station to strategize plans
for strikes. Weather is ugly but strikers are determined to get the strikes done,
and fast. Three strike targets are finalized and pilot and co-pilot prepare large
signs. Co-pilot feels embarrassed for writing campy suggested slogan on sign that
was picked by pilot's "eenie meenie meine mo" method from list of suggestions.
First strike target determined to be Dean's Dugout, a regular hangout for Jawas
and Tusken Raiders alike. Pilot and co-pilot pack up materials and head out to
Overlord's Infinity Quad-Engine Snow Transport (complete with leather interior
and heated seats).
9:20 - Pilot and co-pilot arrive safely at first target. Pilots prepare materials,
search for surrounding stormtroopers, then leave transport to commence strike.
Facing -1F or -18C (not including wind chill) pilots head due southwest to complete
the strike. It is too cold for speeders. Pilot heard to be saying "My tauntaun
is dead!" Pilots return to snow transport. As co-pilot writes down notes for de-briefing,
pilot is found to be preparing materials for next strike on the "Jawa House" aka
BrainSnacks. While searching for next set of materials, co-pilot hears pilot mutter,
"Shoot! I could really have used some blue milk, lightly heated or some Yoda Stew."
9:45 - Striking begins on the Jawa House. Small battle with materials occurs during
strike. "POSTER DAMAGED! BLASTED PROBE DROIDS!" Operation "Repair Poster" begins.
Poster repair successful!
9:51 - Strike considered successful. Co-pilot writes notes for de-briefing as
pilot prepares to set course for refueling station. As any good Jedi knows, music
can inspire your use of the Force. Pilots get down to the Duel Of The Fates Techno
Mix as they make their way to the Corellian Refueling Station. Heading west towards
refueling station, pilot experiences frozen toes while co-pilot has seat belt
malfunction. Vash remarks Overlord's DOTF mix has some awesome Corellian Bass
pumping sounds.
9:58 - DOTF mix turns into the "Freshmen" ska mix. Pilot remarks on validity of
lyrics "I cannot believe we'd ever die for this game," and then edits "we were
only Strike Team." Navigation is thrown off as pilot starts screaming warnings
of fatally dense fog. This problem soon overcome as fog disperses around us, thanks
Master Jedi. (See full soundtrack details below)
10:05 - Time to stop at refueling station for some McVader Fries and a Tarkin
Shake, bought with futuristic land"Speedpass". While at refueling station pilot
Overlord wins a Tusken Raider desert of choice in special 102 spotted womprat
prize giveaway.
10:10 - Co-pilot Vash relays importance of 3rd strike target, Kenobi's Karaoke
Bar, aka Cipher Games & Comics. This Rebel and Imperial haunt is co-owned by a
Jedi and a Sith. Stormtroopers are known to actually be able to hit the broadside
of a barn in these parts of Corellia. Overlord and Vash begin to doubt authenticity
of campy "Escape From Jail Free" card from Rebel Headquarters as they prepare
for frozen wasteland conditions during their trip to 3rd target.
10:45 - Departure for 3rd target commences. Target is located in a slightly wealthy
area controlled by the Hutts. It is currently 0F or -18C and we're heading due
south.
10:52 - Target location is appearing on our radars. Boba Fett impersonator spotted
still doing karaoke, Overlord switches to Plan B: Circle. BLASTED PROBE DROIDS!!!
11:00 - While in process of completing Operation "Circle," Overlord and Vash hurriedly
search for a Plan C. They ask each other, "What would super campy ROUGE leader
(Thanks for Boy Crazy!) do?" Pilot asks co-pilot, "What's that guy's name - Kyle
Hurerrurherrur?"
11:05 - Snow transport was almost attacked by a giant AT-AT Walker. Overlord switches
to evasive maneuvers while cold delirium leaves him babbling about a triple thick
Tarkin Shake. Pilots think they spot Vader in Custom TIE Limo but alas the windows
are tinted - BLASTED PROBE DROIDS!
11:10 - Vash spots Karaoke Bar still has Boba Fett impersonator and possible Jedi
Owner inside.
11:11 - Overlord pulls Snow Transport up along side of building.
11:13 - Other Rebels spotted pulling into lot, pilot tries to quietly pull transport
out of sight of Rebels.
11:15 - Pilot and co-pilot consider plans D through Q; notables like Plan M's
strategy of tackling Jedi Owner and Boba Fett impersonator to affix large signs
on them quickly discarded due to thoughts of Jedi's possible lightsaber. :)
11:20 - Vash spots lights dimming in Karaoke Bar as Overlord spots Rebels exiting
the bar. Pilots scrunch down in snow transports heated seats while turning down
all auxiliary functions besides life support to remain covert.
11:25 - Jedi Owner, Boba Fett impersonator, and two unidentified Rebels are spotted
exiting the karaoke bar and heading down the street to another eating establishment.
11:27 - Strike commences. Overlord and Vash do a tape, hit, and run strategy,
managing to leave folder and to tape up two entrances with big signs. Upon possible
sighting of Jedi returning pilots rush to snow transport and quickly depart.
11:33 - Final strike declared successful. Pilots heading due northeast in -1F
temperatures (plus windchill) to return back to Corellian refueling station. Pilot
and co-pilot split materials back up. Overlord takes off in Infinity Quad Engine
Snow Transport as Vash heads back to heat up escape pod. Pilot's next mission:
Cup of hot chocolate and some Wookiee cookies. Co-pilot's next mission: Try and
stay awake on drive back to base.
Status: Mission accomplished despite the safjW#R*u9sfdWEthisfw ...
