Realms of the Elf-lords Contest #4:
Pro Player Draft

Gabe Alonso's Draft Choices

1st Pick: Arwen

I'm not going to be using her game text at all. However, she is an extra companion. Extra companions help you stay in the game and give you an opportunity to win either by getting to site 9 first or by keeping Frodo alive long enough for you to defeat your opponent's Frodo.

2nd Pick: Ulaire Otsea

Otsea is definitely a stopper in limited play. His 9 power is nothing to sneeze at and home site 3 doesn't hurt either. He can suck up some archery with his high vitality and will more than likely stick around if your opponent decides to move again. Good minion to have or deny your opponent from drafting to play against you.

3rd Pick: Might of Numenor

In my experience playing with limited decks, Frodo usually never makes it to site 9. I believe you want to put yourself in a position where you can keep your companions alive long enough to defeat your opponent's Frodo. This card lets you potentially heal some wounded companions which can be HUGE. Unfortunately, I only have Boromir x2 in my deck and I'm not going to start him because I have so many Gandalf based cards. So I draft this card a little later than sooner.

4th Pick: Isengard Warrior

This card is very situational and I believe is the least useful card for my deck. I see the warrior being good late game once Frodo is exhausted. Additionally, I may or may not have any additional Isengard Orcs rendering its anti-archery ability useless.
