To play, the host simply separates players into two teams - Salt and Pepper. Each team is lead by an elected "Master Chef" who dons a paper chef hat and supervises every facet of the meal, from cooking and table preparation to the selection of witty menu names. After spinning to divide all the groceries provided, the timer is set, and the two teams compete to create the best appetizer, entree and dessert - without using cookbooks! Part of the fun is that each ingredient has to be used somehow. Laughs, energy and imagination are key seasonings!
After dining on the resulting culinary creations, everyone gets to vote on the best dish in each course, including its name and presentation, the table settings and the most creative team overall. There's even a special award for "The Dish The Dog Wouldn't Eat". Hosting a dinner party should always be this easy! Stir Crazy includes a cassette tape that guides the players through the selection of teams and ingredients then continues to play theme music for an hour, enhancing the party atmosphere. Also included are an 8-page full-color comprehensive Host Guide full of tips on everything from planning your guest list to shopping for ingredients; 12 colorful invitations, team name tags and aprons, an ingredient list, two chefs hats, a game spinner and voting forms.
