Crew Manifest
Before I start dropping names in my log entries, leaving you wondering,
"Who the heck is that?," I'm going to list the main crew
involved in the development and design of Star Trek CCG, with some
additional information about them. I'll add names to the list as they come
up in future log entries.
First, the bridge crew, in alphabetical order:
- Brad DeFruiter
- Game Designer. Before joining the TCG Design Studio full-time, Brad
played and playtested Star Trek CCG for years and was a member
of the design team for The Borg expansion set.
- Tim Ellington
- Director of the TCG Design Studio. Tim joined the design team in 1997
and was heavily involved in Star Trek CCG design from First Contact
through Voyager. He oversaw the development of The Lord of the Rings
TCG and contributed much of the lore for Jedi Knights TCG.
- Chuck Kallenbach
- Senior Game Designer who's worked on every Decipher CCG/TCG so far:
Star Wars CCG, Young Jedi CCG, Jedi Knights
TCG, The Lord of the Rings TCG, and of course, Star Trek
CCG, on the First Contact expansion set.
- Evan Lorentz
- Game Designer for Star Trek CCG, Borg expert, and erstwhile Star
Trek CCG rules guru.
Other important crew members, in no particular order (it was trying to
be alphabetical for a while, but took on a life of its own):
- Joe Boulden
- Graphic Artist who works on just about all of Decipher's products. I'll
venture down to the Art Department from time to time to see what Joe has
for us.
- Monica Jones
- Vice President of Marketing.
- Sandy Wible
- Production and Scheduling Director for the Manufacturing Group. Formerly
a Game Designer for Star Wars, Young Jedi, and Star Trek
CCGs, he produces press sheets, coordinates development and production
schedules, and answers my frantic questions about Photoshop and QuarkXpress.
- Sean Smallman
- Star Trek Brand Manager, Marketing Group.
- Brian Kallenbach and Geoff Snider
- Our professional playtesters. These guys spend all day playtesting our
games. It's a rough job, but someone's gotta do it...
And me? I'm Decipher's roving reporter and web writer, Kathy McCracken,
better known to the Star Trek CCG community as Major Rakal
rules guru, author of the Romulan Reviews, and Star Trek Intelligence Officer.
