Contest #1: The Most Cards

With nine feature films (plus the Voyager "Flashback" episode) to choose from, you can imagine what a tough time the design team had selecting 131 cards for this set. But select they did, with no set quotas for each movie. How did the selections turn out? What movies generated the most cards in the expansion? Take a guess at the top two (and the number of cards from each), and you might win ten booster packs of The Motion Pictures. Three winners will be randomly selected from all the correct, valid entries received.

The Answers

There were actually two equally valid answers for the "top two," because while The Wrath of Khan held first place alone, The Undiscovered Country and Insurrection were tied for second place.

The Winners

After disqualifying 26 entries which lacked email addresses and multiple entries from the same address, there were 603 left. Of those 102 selected Star Trek II for first place and either Star Trek VI or Insurrection for second place. The number of cards guessed was used as a tie-breaker. No one had both numbers correct, but exactly three people correctly guessed 22 cards for the first-place Wrath of Khan, and so they are our three winners, and will each receive 10 booster packs of The Motion Pictures.
