A Small Preview of Death Star II Cards
By Joe Alread
We couldn't let you enjoy the weekend without card previews from Death Star II,
could we?
Death
Star II: Throne Room and Emperor's
Power
These two cards go together hand in hand. With the Emperor at his Throne Room,
you get a Dark Side offensive version of what Yoda at Yoda's Hut has been to the
Light Side for years! Extra battle destiny gets rid of that many more of your
opponent's cards on the table, a definite plus for you!
Even the Throne Room on its own is a powerful 2-0 site by itself, its major advantage
being immunity to Revolution.

Your Insight Serves You Well and You
Cannot Hide Forever
These cards were nicknamed "numbers crunchers" during playtesting -
that's what they do! Numbers decks will take a serious hit from these two effects
(with lots of utility to boot!). Since the Jedi in this set are going to be basic,
massive TANKS, making them defense value -1 is gonna make a bigger difference
than one might think! You can lose this effect once you think it's no longer useful
and deploy something more useful instead, such as Insurrection or Battle Plan.
Just make sure your opponent isn't running a numbers deck before you choose to
place it in the lost pile!
Home One
The Light Side equivalent to the Executor, this baby packs serious weaponry! With
massive immunity to attrition and ability of four, this starship gets a destiny
draw by itself and can usually hold a system on its own. Two cards to be aware
of: Lateral Damage and Dengar in Punishing One. They can really put a hurting
on Home One.
Colonel Cracken
CRACK! The Colonel may be the most versatile Rebel in the whole game. Being a
Spy and a Scout are obvious advantages, and he's a pilot as well. His deploy cost
of three is a bit above average but his ability is outstanding. Every time your
opponent deploys a Spy, they lose a Force! ISB will take a serious hit off of
this, as well as Mara Jade, U3P0 and all those goofy little Probe Droids too!
Now, go on, discuss, cause these cards are just the tip of the iceberg.
