Endor/Death Star II Tournaments Rules
The Star Wars Customizable Card Game expansion sets Endor and
Death Star II are each designed and tested to provide great gameplay.
Combined, these cards create a fantastic storyline tournament
environment for both Sealed and Constructed Deck. You can recreate
the momentous final events seen in Return Of The Jedi when
you play in one of the three new, sanctioned play formats:
Endor/Death Star II Constructed Format.
Endor/Death Star II Booster Draft format.
Endor/Death Star II Sealed-Deck Starter Format
Event Sanctioning
Normal tournament sanctioning rules apply for any of the tournament
formats:

7 days in advance.

ENDOR/DEATH STAR II CONSTRUCTED

Standard 60-card decks.
Permitted Cards
Any card name found in the Endor or Death Star II expansion sets
is legal for this format, including all the reprinted cards from
earlier sets that are contained in the Death Star II Pre-Constructed
starter decks. Any copy of a card with the same name as an approved
card is permitted. Thus a Houjix card purchased in an original
A New Hope expansion pack, or a white-border Mon Calamari Cruiser
obtained in the Second Anthology are legal.
Event Format
A 2-round (4 game) or 3-round (6 game) standard Swiss format is
played. Each game is limited to 1 hour. A final confrontation
is suggested, but it must be declared by the Tournament Director
at the start of the event.
Ratings
Sanctioned games completed in this tournament format will count
as usual toward the player's Standard Constructed Deck rating.
Tournament Software Support
Every Endor/Death Star II Constructed Deck tournament is to be
run on Decipher's official tournament software using the Decipher
Swiss option.
ENDOR/DEATH STAR II BOOSTER DRAFT
Deck Format
40-card Light Side or Dark Side booster-drafted decks.
Booster Draft
Seat all players in draft groups of 4. The Tournament Director
may have to draft (or provide someone who can fill in for the
drafting phase) if there is an odd number of players. Two excess
players should be used to create one draft group of 6. The Tournament
Director randomly assigns an allegiance (Light Side or Dark Side)
to one player in each drafting group. The players on either side
of that player are assigned the opposite allegiance, and the pattern
keeps alternating until all players in the draft group have an
allegiance and no players of the same allegiance are sitting next
to each other.
Each player receives 3 booster packs of Endor and 3 booster packs
of Death Star II. (This is the recommended format and for playability
reasons should not be reduced or increased).
At the Tournament Director's command, every player opens ONE booster
pack from the same expansion set. Each player has 30 seconds to
select one card of their allegiance from that booster pack and
place it the remainding cards face down in front of themselves.
After 30 seconds, every player passes the remaining cards clockwise.
Another 30 seconds is then allowed for the selection of a new
card in the same manner, from the pack just handed to each player.
The process continues until the booster pack is exhausted.
At that time, the Tournament Director announces the opening of
the next booster pack. This time the cards are passed counter-clockwise.
This process is repeated until all booster packs have been exhausted.
The following rules apply to all card-drafting rounds:
A player must select a card if there is at least
one card of their allegiance available.
There is no counter-drafting (i.e., a player may
NOT select a card of the opposite allegiance, regardless of its
perceived worth).
A player may not look at the cards he or she has
already selected until all packs have been drafted.
Deck Building Phase
Once all booster packs have been drafted, every player has 20
minutes to build a 40-card deck from the cards that player has
drafted.
Suggested Event Format
After drafting and deckbuilding, a 2-round (4 game) or 3-round
(6 game) standard Swiss format is played. Each game is limited
to 45 minutes. A final confrontation (between top Light Side and
top Dark Side player) is suggested, but must be declared by Tournament
Director at the start of the event.
Ratings
Sanctioned games completed in this tournament format will count
as usual toward the player's Sealed Deck Rating.
Tournament Software Support

be run on Decipher's official tournament software using the Sealed
Deck option.
ENDOR/DEATH STAR II SEALED DECK STARTER FORMAT
Deck Format
60-card Light Side or Dark Side Sealed Deck.
Sealed Deck
The Tournament Director will randomly determine whether players
will be playing Light Side or Dark Side - the number of players
playing one allegiance should equal the number of players playing
the other allegiance. Each player is then given a Death Star II
pre-constructed starter deck of the appropriate allegiance. Then,
each player is seated in front of their first opponent. Upon the
Tournament Director's announcement, play begins using the standard
Sealed Deck tournament rules.
Deck Building Phase
Decks need not be modified since each pre-constructed starter
deck already contains 60 cards.
Suggested Event Format
A 2-round (4 game) or 3-round (6 game) standard Swiss format is
played. Each game is limited to 1 hour. A final confrontation
(between top Light Side and top Dark Side player) is suggested,
but must be declared by Tournament Director at the start of the
event.
