Are You An Angel?
Light Side Young Jedi Theme Deck
Brian Kallenbach
05/99
|
Note: This deck uses the card chemistry between Anakin
and Padmé. Since Anakin and Padmé are marked with the same deckbuilding
dot, it cannot be just them. Both of them can be hard to get hold of (especially
Anakin). Here is the deck, with a few strategy notes.
This deck includes cards from Menace of Darth Maul (DM) expansion only.

Strategy: The big power in this deck comes from using Padmé together
with Anakin for Are You An Angel? With this card, you get a total of 6 Power plus
a destiny, and more if an Eopie is also in the battle. With Anakin's Podracer
thrown in, you have 9 Power plus 2 destiny, which is more than enough to take
down even Darth Maul with his Lightsaber.
However, one little combo like this won't win you the game, so there are a few
other tricks. Jedi and Lightsabers is one, with Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, and Mace Windu
all in the deck, as well as a few Lightsabers to help them out.
Obi-Wan's Lightsaber is a free deploy, and makes for a nice surprise when deploying
Qui-Gon or Mace.
The Eopies provide extra support for all of your characters, since they work
with everyone, as does The Negotiations Were Short, which will help you plug a
couple of characters when you need to.
If Padmé doesn't show up, a couple of cards can help. One, the other two
Fighting Together cards in here work for Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, who are as likely
to be in hand as Padmé. If Anakin doesn't show up, you have to rely on
your Jedi to pull you through long enough to get the prodigy out onto the table.
The danger in this deck is conceding - getting Anakin stranded anywhere is pretty
dangerous. Simply defend until you can grab a Transport, and then evacuate him.
Whether or not your opponent intercepts, you'll still be able to play him next
turn.
